Drake Hotel Painting

Meanwhile, back in Chicago, the winter has just started but we’ve already had enough snow, ice, and freezing weather to cover most roads with potholes. I have been staying busy with holiday orders and commissioned work. Earlier this week I finished a 9x12 acrylic painting is of Chicago’s Drake Hotel. My customer commissioned it as a surprise Christmas gift for her husband. She wanted the focus to be on ballroom windows, since it is where she and her husband had their wedding reception.
