I haven't had a chance to sprout too many fresh posts here lately, and that is because I am painting, painting, painting away. The summer is almost here, which means yet another season full of art shows, and my art inventory has been a bit low lately. Here is one of my newest originals. It is a 12x16 acrylic painting of the Cathedral on the Spilt Blood, located in St. Petersburg, Russia. This church is a rival of the St. Basil's Cathedral in Moscow, but what I love about it more is that is stands on water. I had a chance to visit St. Petersburg back in 2002, and seeing this cathedral in person was stunning.
And, here is yet another art festival announcement. This weekend I am driving South to Springfield, IL, to partake in their annual Old Capitol Art Fair. The show will take place on May 16th and 17th, from 10 AM until 5 PM on Saturday, and from 10 AM until 4 PM on Sunday. My booth number is 160.
